Young Artists Initiative Installation
Site-specific installation curated by the Young Artist Initiative in 2015 at the Hotel Edition in Miami Beach. The installation was inspired by the unique characteristics of the space, which is an ice rink, and incorporated elements of popular culture, including the Pixar award-winning animated film "UP." The installation was composed of a wood structure in the shape of a cube, with four side panels that were painted with characters from the story and a top panel with 150 helium balloons attached. The light weight of the installation allowed people using the rink to interact with the piece and move it around.
