PAC-FADO
PAC-MAN avatar wearable NFT drop was a collaboration between BANDAI NAMCO Entertainment and Genies Asia to celebrate the 41st birthday of PAC-MAN. The collection featured art from a variety of digital artists, including Baugasm, Cory Van Lew, Gabriel "GG" Gimenez, NFN Kalyan, Renderfruit, and Defaced Studio. The collection merged the classic look of PAC-MAN with new, stylized takes on the characters by the participating artists. One of the pieces in the collection, PAC-FADO, was created by Gabriel "GG" Gimenez and drew inspiration from the original PAC-MAN game. The piece featured the character Fado, which Gimenez has developed over the years and which often references popular culture and personal experiences. The PAC-FADO piece used the Genies' helmet as a canvas, with the face of Fado on the back of the helmet and the original face of PAC-MAN on the front. The collection was released on the Open Sea NFT platform on May 20th, 2021.
